That Kid Who Lied About Getting Sick (Part 8): The Ultimate Showdown (Not Really)

Alright, folks, the day has finally come. We’ve had enough of the games, enough of the cryptic answers, and enough of the lame excuses. Coop and I were both DONE with Mikey’s lies. And let me tell you, we weren’t holding back this time. This was it—THE FINAL CONFRONTATION (well, not really). But we made sure Mikey knew we weren’t playing around anymore.

The Confrontation Begins

So, we called Mikey again. This time, Coop and I weren’t going to let him off the hook. We’d already been suspicious of him for days, and we were fed up. As soon as Mikey answered the phone, we started hitting him with questions. I was cracking jokes, as usual, trying to keep things light, but Coop? He was in full interrogation mode.

“Mikey, we’ve had enough,” Coop said, his voice firm. “Why do you keep lying to us about being sick? What’s really going on?”

Pigu's Big Reveal

Then I stepped in with my usual flair. “Mikey, you know that if you keep skipping out on all the excursions and lying about it, there are going to be consequences, right? People are gonna start asking questions,” I warned him dramatically.

For a while, Mikey stayed quiet. He looked around like he was trying to avoid eye contact. I could tell he was uncomfortable. It was time. Time for the big reveal.

And Then... He Spilled the Beans!

Finally, after a long pause, Mikey sighed and said, “Okay, fine! The truth is... I love to play video games, especially Sonik, and I just don’t want to leave my family! I don’t like being away from them! That’s why I kept saying I was sick!”

Coop and I were stunned for a second. All this time, it was because Mikey didn’t want to leave his family and was obsessed with playing his games. I couldn’t help but burst out laughing. “Sonik? Really? You were just playing video games all this time?”

Coop, on the other hand, wasn’t laughing. “Mikey,” he said, shaking his head. “You could’ve just told us the truth from the start. Why lie about it? We wouldn’t have been mad. We just wanted to know what was going on.”

The Case Is Closed!

And just like that, the mystery was solved. Mikey wasn’t sick at all—he was just a game-obsessed kid who didn’t want to leave home. As ridiculous as it seemed, it all made sense now. The case was closed, and we could finally move on.

The Moral of the Story

Now, after everything that happened, I had one important thing to say. The moral of the story? Never lie. Unless, of course, you’re in a situation where it’s *really* necessary to lie. You know, like if you’re trying to protect someone or avoid something dangerous. But otherwise, just tell the truth! It’s way easier in the long run.

Meanwhile in Universe 1

There's a Mikey who doesn’t have a Pigu in his life to joke around with. And guess what? Coop’s still suspicious of him. This Mikey? He’s not giving up the truth anytime soon.

So, stay tuned, folks. Who knows what other Mikeys are out there lying about their sickness? Will they finally tell the truth, or are we in for more bizarre mysteries?
