That Kid Who Lied About Getting Sick (Part 5)
Okay, Pigu fans, brace yourselves! This might be the most bizarre update in the Mikey mystery yet. If you thought things were strange before, just wait until you hear about the marathon messaging session Coop and I had with Mikey. It was an epic saga of texts, puns, and zero answers! You won’t believe what went down in this 8-hour exchange...
The Message Marathon Begins
So, after Mikey managed to dodge our questions yet again in the previous investigation, Coop and I decided that we had to change up our approach. We figured if Mikey wasn’t going to open up in person, maybe he would do it over text. And, well, we weren’t just going to text him once and let it slide. Nope! We were going to message him nonstop until we got something—anything!—that made sense!
Now, I can’t tell you how long this took, but I’m pretty sure my fingers are still sore from typing. It turned into an *eight-hour textathon* of nonstop messages. Coop and I took turns bombarding Mikey with questions, but no matter how many puns I threw in there to keep things light, Mikey was *not* giving us anything solid. I’m talking about long-winded replies that didn’t answer a single question, and Mikey being as elusive as ever!
Puns Galore! 🦄
Yes, you read that right! I decided that if Mikey was going to ignore us, I might as well make things fun. So, naturally, I threw in every pun I could think of. Seriously, I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but here’s just a small sample of what I sent:
"Mikey, I’m *sick* of you lying about being sick. It’s *punning* me out!"
"Hey, Mikey, I’m *sick* of all these excuses! Let’s get to the *root* of the problem, shall we?"
"You’re not *sick* of us, are you? Because I’m about to *fall ill* with all this suspense!"
And, of course, the classics like: "What’s the *sick-est* excuse you’ve got today, Mikey?"
I mean, you get the idea. But Mikey? He was playing it cool, responding with very little enthusiasm. It was like he was trying to avoid saying anything meaningful. It was driving me *crazy*—but I had to keep going! This was the only lead we had!
Coop and I Keep Pressing
While I was busy with the puns, Coop wasn’t slacking off either. He was hitting Mikey with more direct, serious questions. We were getting pretty intense with this one. We asked Mikey the usual stuff, like: "Why didn’t you go on the camp trip?" "What’s really going on, Mikey?" "What’s your deal with always being sick on important days?"
But Mikey’s replies were as vague as a foggy morning:
"I told you, I just get sick sometimes..."
"It’s just random, you know?"
"I don’t know how to explain it... it just happens."
We were hitting a brick wall. Every single response sounded the same. Not a single shred of new information. After a while, I started to wonder if Mikey was just *messing with us* at this point. Maybe he didn’t have an actual answer. Maybe he didn’t want us to know the truth.
The Longest Texting Session Ever
So, after hours and hours of sending messages back and forth, we hit the 8-hour mark. Yep, 8 hours of Mikey dodging questions and making excuses. You might think that after all that, he’d crack and just spill the beans—but no! Mikey stayed firm, cool as a cucumber. He didn’t even break a sweat. And we still didn’t have anything concrete to show for it.
At one point, I tried a new tactic—*reverse psychology*—hoping that would get Mikey to open up. I sent him a message that said:
"Mikey, you know what? I’m done. I don’t care anymore. You can just keep pretending to be sick. You don’t have to tell me anything. I *already* know the truth!"
Coop thought that maybe that would make Mikey feel guilty enough to confess. But Mikey’s reply? He was just as chill as ever:
"Okay, that’s fine. I’ll be sick again tomorrow. Don’t worry about me."
After 8 hours of this, we had nothing. Absolutely nothing. No answers, no insight into Mikey’s behavior. Just more weird, nonsensical text replies. It felt like we were chasing a ghost.
Theories, Theories Everywhere!
At this point, Coop and I were both on edge. I mean, how could Mikey not give us anything after all this? We started theorizing about what could be going on. Was he really sick? Was he faking it? Maybe something was going on at home that he wasn’t ready to talk about. Maybe he was in trouble and didn’t want anyone to know.
There were a million possibilities. And none of them were clear. All I knew was that Mikey wasn’t going to give us the answers we needed, and I was starting to feel like we were getting nowhere. Still, we couldn’t stop. We had to get to the bottom of this. Whatever Mikey was hiding, it was too big for us to ignore.
So, What Now?
After 8 hours of texting, Coop and I sat there, exhausted, staring at our phones. We’d gotten no closer to the truth. Mikey still hadn’t cracked. And we still didn’t know why he kept skipping out on everything. The mystery was as deep as ever.
But one thing was for sure—we weren’t giving up. Not yet. We’d come this far, and we were going to keep pushing until Mikey finally spilled the beans. I wasn’t going to let this mystery rest until I got the answers.
So stay tuned, Pigu fans. The saga continues. I’ll be back soon with more updates on this insane case. The truth is out there, and I’ll find it—no matter how long it takes!
